Don’t Worry Your Pretty Little Head

So I’m working on some art work that incorporates my MRI image (or uses it in some way) as well as graffiti art and photography into a response to an experience I had last Saturday at the UCLA Brain Tumor Conference during the Mindful Meditation session.

I’ll go into the full explanation of the experience once the piece is finished and ready to be shared, but basically my doctor believes that I had this response due to over stimulation.  To me, it felt like I was on drugs.  And while part of it was a completely new experience I had never had before, some of it was a somewhat familiar experience that I refer to as my Alice in Wonderland symptoms.  These symptoms remind me of the “Eat me, Drink me” section of Alice in Wonderland, because I’ll feel as though I’m growing and the room is shrinking, or vice versa, although this is usually when I’m going to bed and my eyes are closed, although not always.

Anyway, for this particular experience, and this particular piece, I have most of the piece finished.  I’m just trying to finalize one section and then decide on some details.  But I thought I’d post part of my brainstorming process while it’s all simmering and coming together.
